Lydon has a new book coming out. It’s called Anger is an Energy: My Life Uncensored and it’s out now, so John visited Sway in the Morning, and they got to talking.

Lydon is a distinguished British nihilist, set in his ways and far beyond giving one fuck. He’s ready to drop eternal wisdom. During the interview, Lydon dives into topics of all sorts: how much he once loved Jamaica, and why he doesn’t now, his time with “filthy women,” his time spent hanging out with Afrika Bambaataa, and why he’ll do every drug except for heroin.

Lydon is still vehemently anti-establishment. He’s just become an American citizen, and promises to do his best to “help out…the boys in blue have been out to range too long.” He claims music is the voice of the youth and is still the best way influence change. Lydon would know—the Sex Pistols’ lyrics once led to accusations of treason, an offense then punishable by death.
