Future has been on a roll recently, dropping collaborative EPs and mixtapes left and right. But as the world waits with bated breath for Future Hendrix to drop a cohesive, full-length LP, Atlanta trap producer Heroes X Villains got tired of waiting and decided to take matters into his own hands.
The idea is simple: he curated Future’s hottest non-album tracks and crafted a concept album “painting a portrait of [Future] as an artist navigating the dangerous waters of success, love, excess and loss all seen through the lens of a murky codeine haze.” The “minimum but essential” features include heavy-hitters like Waka Flocka Flame, Young Scooter and Travi$ Scott. The result is an adventurous tracklist that highlights Future’s dexterity and artistic evolution. It should hold fans over for the next 56 nights, at least.
