Lately it seems like BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge has been making a habit of asking guests to perform a live cover. Some of our personal favorites have been Chrvches covering “Cry Me A River,” and Jungle covering “Uptown Funk”. The latest, however, comes as a bit of a surprise.
Mumford & Sons took on Shura’s single “2Shy” and made it their own. Unless you know all of the lyrics, their rendition might not sound familiar until it reaches the chorus. The original version sounds like a timeless pop ballad—the Mumford version, on the other hand, amps up the instrumentation to match Marcus Mumford’s deeper vocals.
