For lack of a better description, Seattle’s Mackned is one of the more Based rappers to pass through the digital pages of P&P in recent memory. Introduced to us in an edition of 5 On It a month back, Mackned’s album Cyber Magicka presented a philosophy-laden, druggy cloud rap odyssey—the sort of project that feels birthed by (but not limited to) the influence of Tumblr. And drugs. Lots of drugs.
“100 Oz.” is, unsurprisingly, Mackned’s fittingly hypnotic ode to drinking lean. In the video he uses to bottles of cough syrup as cell phones. That’s probably all you should need to know to determine whether “100 Oz.” is going to be your cup of tea. Watch it above.
