Inspired by a recent project over at the Guardian that sought to locate a lot of their favorite album covers, Mass Appeal took on the task of figuring out where exactly hip-hop’s most iconic images came from. Their quest took them (via Google Street View at least) through Queensbridge houses, downtown L.A. and Philadelphia—it’s pretty interesting to see the photos in context.
