SBTRKT continues to unload new music on his SoundCloud, and the English beatmaker has yet to disappoint us with any of the new releases. The latest, “Relics,” is a pulsing, vibrant anthem that features Tev’n.
“Relics” is almost hypnotic at the start, lulling the listener into a comfortable zone before sending us off into the cosmos. The signals get lost in the ether. But then we’re brought back to Earth with heavy synths and one final hook that would send a crowd into a frenzy at a live show. It’s a great ending and also somewhat of a tease that has me replaying the song over and over just for that moment.
