Lil Wayne Instructs Fans to Not Listen to Young Thug

At a recent concert, Lil Wayne told his fans, in an indirect way, to not listen to Young Thug. Watch the video here.

“I want y’all to do me a favor and stop listening to n****s who pose naked on their motherfuckin’ album cover.”

Well, there it is. Throughout the dispute between Lil Wayne and Birdman, it has been unclear where Young Thug stands. He’s been riding with Birdman all year, but he’s also openly admitted that Lil Wayne is—or, at least, was—his favorite rapper.

During his Sorry 4 The Wait 2 mixtape release party tour, Lil Wayne finally acknowledged Young Thug’s presence. In an indirect but obvious way, he instructed his fans not to listen to Young Thug. Earlier this week, Thug announced that his album, Carter 6, will be released on April 17. He also shared the album cover art, which features him (mostly) naked on the cover.

All of this further complicates an already messy situation. As things stand now, Young Thug’s Carter 6 will come out before Lil Wayne’s long-delayed Tha Carter V.
