Many fans were left disappointed when they found out D’Angelo’s Black Messiah tour would take place entirely in Europe. He played at NYC’s Apollo Theater once, but other than that, the U.S. was left out in the cold.
Now, the messiah has responded: D’Angelo and The Vanguard will play a 14-date summer U.S. tour.
“The Second Coming Tour” will kick off in Oakland, CA on June 7 and make it’s way through the West Coast, hitting cities like Atlanta, Dallas, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. before ending in Sayreville, NJ at the end of June. Tickets go on sale May 1, so make sure you get yours before they sell out.
Check out the dates for the tour, and revisit his recent SNL performance below.
