1.

2. Jeremih - "Planes (Chance The Rapper, The Social Experiment, & Lido Remix)"

Turning the already smooth original into something considerably prettier and more relaxed, Chance The Rapper takes J. Cole’s place near the end at the track to deliver a infectiously joyous verse in his singular yelp-ish delivery. The intricate production flourishes from Lido and The Social Experiment make the remix—Chance’s verse is simply the cherry on top.

3. Pomo - "Feel The Same Way"

Pomo is a Kaytranada collaborator, also from Canada. I don't know what they're putting in the icy alpine water up there, but Pomo is bringing some of the same silky vibes that elevated his countryman to super-producer status. "Feel The Same Way" is over far too quickly: the drop comes but twice, shimmering synths disappearing into a bevy of claps and syncopated keys to create a track that grabs you from the opening strums.

4. Father ft. KeithCharles Spacebar - "Gums"

To begin the week right, Awful Records dropped a whole tape and declared the day an #AwfulHoliday—it's just a coincidence that the day happened to be 4/20. The tape features each of the Awful Records members showcasing their own talent on separate songs. Father and KeithCharles Spacebar's track "Gums" not only has an intriguingly eerie beat but it also has an admittedly catchy hook.

5. Janelle Kroll - "Numb"

Janelle Kroll's "Numb" stuck with me for a while after a first listen. It's simultaneously dark and uplifting, Kroll's voice performing vocal acrobatics above a growling electric guitar. It's a perfect match, and the slow, sultry cool that emanates from "Numb" is sure to seep deep into your soul.

6. Vic Mensa - "D.O.M.L. (esta Remix ft. Jarreau Vandal, Mr. Carmack, & Sam Gellaitry)"

Before Vic Mensa was throwing barstools with Kanye West, he was just another rapper down on his luck. Esta (a recurring figure in this feature) took it upon himself to revisit that era with a fresh remix of Vic's "Down On My Luck," adding some dancey synths and a wandering bass to the mix.

7. Misun - "After Me"

Unapologetic fandom on this one. Misun has a vibe, an effortless cool that grabs you from the opening chords of their music. "After Me" is no exception. Half indie-rock, half trip-hop, the song's organ and distortion melt around Misun Wojcik's lead vocals for a full dose of confidence. Their Feel Better EP (out May 29) is shaping up nicely.

8. Rvdical The Kid's Carte Blanche Album

Carte Blanche goes a lot of places over the course of its seven tracks. Rvdical The Kid wants to showcase the full range of his abilities, from the off-kilter groove of "Funk With Me" to the unexpected sample marriages on the EP's closing "Free Spirit." It's an exciting (and free) new release from Flow-Fi, the label/collective that has impressed with every release they've turned out thus far.

9. Audio Push ft. OG Maco - "Heavy"

Recently, Audio Push has been putting out new material song by song, but this week they finally dropped a new full project titled The Good Vibe Tribe. The entire tape is filled with attention grabbing tracks but one of the standouts is surely "Heavy," featuring OG Maco. The production may pull you in first, but the verses—especially OG Maco's—will make you want to run it back from the beginning to make sure you don't miss a thing.

10. Salfumán - "Futura Mujer"

Sandra Rapulp has been quietly releasing music under her Salfumán moniker for a couple years now, and the most recent release (her self-titled EP) was a knockout. The Spanish multi-instrumentalist returns today with "Futura Mujer," a retro jam that will satisfy your inner salsa dancer to no end.

11. Dom Kennedy - "After School (Fortune & DrewsThatDude Remix)"

Like many of Dom Kennedy's songs, the original version of "After School" is a very laid back track. Fortune and DrewsThatDude decided to amp it up just a bit, adding some shimmering production and creating a new sound to balance with Dom's nonchalant flow.

12. Carneyval ft. Celeste Stoney - "Retrograde" (James Blake cover)

The majority of James Blake's songs are down tempo, emotional ballads. "Retrograde" is certainly the polar opposite of a dance song, or at least it was. In this fun cover, Carneyval provides a guitar-lead dance beat while Celeste Stoney's voice keeps the emotion alive.

13. Rules Follow Us - "Run From Us"

These days it seems like many artists try to make a hit song for the parties and clubs in order to gain some attention. Even without a hook, Rules Follow Us' "Run From Us" is enough to grab your attention. Bars.

14. Hunt For The Breeze - "Louis XIV"

As a part of the Moving Castle Vol. III tape, Hunt For The Breeze gave us this shimmery instrumental, "Louis XIV," that is the perfect work soundtrack. It has enough drive to keep forward motion, but is chill enough to let you sink back into the royal vibes. "Louis XIV" is backseat motivation, a gentle push to help you get it (whatever it may be) done.

15. Le Youth - "T O U C H" (Flaxo Remix)

Often times, remixes speed things up and make a version of the original track that's easier to dance to. Flaxo's remix of Le Youth's "T O U C H" bucks convention, pulling the original apart like saltwater taffy to make a whole new world of synthetic vibrations.

16. Malcolm - "GIVEITAWAY14"

There's a very experimental and eerie sound about the tracks featured on Malcolm's "GIVEITAWAY14." Parts of it sound as if they were made for a sci-fi soundtrack, while others sound inspired by deep house records.

The blend of sound were best described in a statement by the artist:

The origins here are mutated. Distorted emanations of acid explode in a caustic synthesis of organic and analog, electric and chemical.

A turbulent, hallucinatory allusion to the dance floor is offered. Anxiously it vibrates, thunders, and then disintegrates, shapelessly, into nocturnal soundscapes, melancholic contemplations and drum machine dreams.
