In a time where the majority of the music coming out right now is intended to help you turn up, I find myself constantly searching for something that I can turn down to. It’s not easy finding quality music that you can just mellow out to, but suddenly it feels like my search has come to a successful end. The latest single from L’Orange & Jeremiah Jae doesn’t require me to do more than nod my head to the beat, and that’s exactly what many of us need right now.
“Taken By The Night” is the first single from their forthcoming album The Night Took Us In Like Family, which is due out on April 21 via Mello Music Group. Just like the rest of the album, the track features Jeremiah Jae rapping over L’Orange’s production.
The track is simultaneously jazzy and gritty. Even with its relaxed tone it still contains a motivating quality that encourages you to get up and make things happen. Jeremiah Jae’s seemingly effortless ability to tell a story on “Taken By The Night” makes us intrigued to hear what else him and L’Orange have in store for us on The Night Took Us In Like Family.
