A few months ago, Chance The Rapper shared a new song with his Twitter followers but admitted he would be taking it down immediately. He wanted it to be a special moment with the few lucky fans who were present to catch it. If you were one of the many fans who wasn’t quick enough to preview the song before it was taken down, don’t worry because now it’s here. But today we learn that the song is actually not Chance’s.
The name of the once vanishing song is “Cold Stares” and it’s actually a song by LA DJ/producer Nosaj Thing, with featured vocals from Chance The Rapper. The track is the second collaboration between the two young artists. Nosaj Thing produced “Paranoia,” which was featured on Chance’s Acip Rap mixtape.
“Cold Stares” is taken from Nosaj Thing’s forthcoming album Fated which is due out on May 5 via Innovative Leisure.
