First there was a “Crisis.” But “Today,” things are looking up. The first tracks from Jam City’s second album are massive echo chambers, heavy on percussive reverb and ambient synths. This latest cut certainly has those elements, but the gritty edge has been complemented by a smooth, funky backbone that keeps things light despite the cavernous sound.
The Night Slugs producer has his second album coming around the corner: Dream A Garden will release October 23. He’s also going on tour to support the new music. You can check those dates below “Today.”
