Watch John Legend and Common Perform "Glory" and Deliver a Powerful Acceptance Speech at The Oscars

Earlier tonight, Hollywood graced the red carpet for the 87th Annual Academy Awards, and though it’s more a night for those who appear on the big screens, John Legend and Common went home with Academy Awards.

Winning Best Original Song for “Glory,” which was written for Selma, a film based on the 1965 Selma to Montgomery marches for voting rights, the two gave a powerful performance that included a chorus marching behind the two musicians, leaving the audience moved and some in tears. Later in the evening, the duo gave an equally powerful acceptance speech that gave a nod to all those who are fighting every day for what they believe in.
