Funkmaster Flex, legendary Hot 97 DJ and recently, architect of the Diplomats reunion, has just announced that he’s been working to reunite long dormant hip-hop royalty The Fugees. While discussing the Dipset reunion in the video below, Flex says he’s been “speaking to the members” of the group—for what exactly, he doesn’t specify.
It’s important to note that this is far from the first tease of a Fugees reunion. Wyclef’s expressed his interest in reuniting with Hill and Pras throughout the years (though he was notably absent from the group’s last public performance at Rock The Bells in 2011). The last time we saw all three Fugees on one stage was 2006—let’s just hope Flex can replicate whatever magic he worked on Dipset.
