FKA Twigs has become known for her unique style, her sweet voice but mostly her intricate dance moves. Anyone who has ever seen her live, or even footage of one of her performances, knows that movement is one of the most important elements to every FKA Twigs show. Recently, she has taken her love for dance off the stage and onto the big screen.
The upcoming film Catch Me Daddy features a dance scene that was choreographed by FKA Twigs. The film’s director Daniel Wolfe claims that her choreography is “the heart of the film.” In the film, actress Sameena Jabeen Ahmed is supposed to dance for her character’s boyfriend, but the actress had never really danced before. So the director asked FKA Twigs for some assistance to help Sameena get more comfortable with herself and her moves. The results come off pretty natural so it looks like FKA Twigs helped Sameena really break out of her shell.
