We all saw what happened when Beck won his Grammy for Best Album of the Year. Kanye walked off stage before making too big of a scene, but the message was clear, and we all knew what was going through ‘Ye’s head. But what would you have done if you were Beck?
Smashing Pumpkins lead singer Billy Corgan stopped by Channel 7’s The Morning Show and shared his thoughts on the Kanye West/Beck situation. Apparently, he’d knock Kanye out.
Corgan says he thinks what Kanye did was inappropriate.
“I don’t know Kanye, but I think he’s speaking from his heart. He believes what he’s saying. I just think that’s an inappropriate venue to do it because in essence that’s Beck’s moment.”
He adds that he would’ve knocked anyone out who got up on his stage.
“I’ve been on that podium too, and if someone got up on my stage I’d knock them out. I don’t care who it is I would’ve knocked them out… That’s my stage. I earned the right to be on the stage at that moment. That was Beck’s moment.”
But who would win in a fight between Kanye and Corgan?
“Between Kanye and I would be a stand-off but Kim would take me down.”
