Last we heard from Pete Doherty, he was getting clean at a rehab in Thailand and The Libertines were planning an album for 2015.

Before we get more music from the band, Pete releases this very personal song, “Flags of the Old Regime.” The song is a tribute to Amy Winehouse, and all proceeds will go to The Amy Winehouse Foundation, which “works to prevent the effects of drug and alcohol misuse on young people.”

Pete and Amy had a very close and volatile relationship. “Amy and I were lovers,” Pete told The Daily Mail. “I loved her then and, well, I still do today. But towards the end, as only lovers can, she became quite mean and cruel to me. She didn’t suffer fools… and believe me, she had a mean right hook.’

Listen to the gorgeous song below.
