London’s own Lxury is still quite new to the scene, but he has been making some solid impressions since last year. His newest single “Square 1” is just as impressive as his previous work. The Deptford Goth-featured track begins with sounds that could easily hypnotize you. But that short trance ends as soon as the beat fully kicks in with twice the amount of energy.
“Square 1” alone is enough to win anyone over, but the video completes the package. The video features a pair of CGI hands doing sign-language in such fluid movements that they easily transition into dancing. The YouTube description explains the video as “an homage to the narrative we find in African funeral rituals, where the relationship between dead and alive is made through and dance not words.”
