Before skyrocketing to fame with his work on Kanye West’s Yeezus, Venezuelan producer Arca was relatively unknown. But his brilliant, grating contributions to Yeezus made Arca’s next project, Xen a highly-anticipated and critically acclaimed debut album that drew in the likes of Icelandic music legend Björk.
That came last November. Now, just two months later, Arca has unveiled Sheep, originally performed as a musical score to accompany a Florentine fashion show. The eleven-track playlist features samples from FKA Twigs, Björk, and Lana Del Rey. Björk’s new album, Vulnicura, is co-produced by Arca. Sheep was first performed with a Hood By Air runway show.
