Kanye West Debuts "Only One" Video, Talks Marriage and New Album on Ellen

Kanye West was a guest on The Ellen Degeneres Show last night, debuting the “Only One” video and talking to Ellen about fatherhood, marriage, and the freedom to create given to him by Adidas. The “Only One” video, directed by Spike Jonze is a simple, home footage style clip of North and Kanye in a field on a foggy, rainy day. Watch that above.

Kanye also talked to Ellen about marriage (he’s learned to compromise and “shut up more”), how fatherhood has changed him, and how he doesn’t feel creatively stifled any more now he’s with Adidas. He described the anger and frustration he felt not being able to express himself by comparing himself to his daughter. “I was going through my version of my terrible twos,” he explained, “my daughter wants to express herself, but she just doesn’t have the words for it… There were so many things I wanted to do with film and clothing but I just didn’t have the words or the resources.”

Finally, Kanye talked about the new album, explaining that it doesn’t have a title yet and that they’re “still trying to find the vibe,” because there is, “this transition from what I felt when I did Yeezus to what I feel now and we’re just creating.” Watch the interview section below.
