A couple of weeks ago, Swedish singer/songwriter José González absolutely crushed a cover of TLC’s “Waterfalls” on Swedish TV, but if you think only his covers are worth listening to, you are wrong. González is releasing his first album in seven years, Vestiges & Claws, via Mute on February 17, and “Leaf Off/The Cave” is the new single, a lush, folky song with choral peaks and soft-spoken valleys.
