DJ Dahi is a master of segmentation: “Caped” is constantly changing, one part at a time. There are shades of Aphex Twin, M.I.A. and Missy Elliott scattered throughout, all folded into a vibrant energy that is Dahi’s alone. And that’s rare: usually Dahi is the producer to the stars. But with music like this, he’s sounding ready to have his own moment.
