When I wrote about Mirror Kisses’ “Innocence” over a month ago, I described his sound as “lo-fi synth-goth-pop,” and that descriptor only seems more appropriate with his latest track, “Keep A Secret.” Drifting back and forth with a timeless quality that’s hard to describe beyond the feeling of nostalgia for something that never really happened, “Keep A Secret” just goes to show how capable of a musician Mirror Kisses really is. There’s not many artists working in a similar aesthetic this successfully any more, and he absolutely owns it because of this.
