The 24-year-old will be releasing her fifth album on March 24 via Ribbon Music. And the lead single provides an exciting preview of what Short Movie will have to offer.
The video for “Short Movie” is an animated piece directed by Art & Graft that matches up perfectly with the mood and energy of the song. The visuals look like a watercolor painting in motion that is brought to life by the sound of Marling’s voice. The images start off slowly and begin to gain more detail and momentum at the same pace of the song itself. The instrumentation on “Short Movie” is as sweet as Marling’s voice. And the video ties it all together.
