PC Music founder A.G. Cook makes sugary-sweet, addictive electronic music that often verges on parody (Hey QT!). His own work, however, is no joke. His samples and edits are sharp enough to cut, and “What I Mean” is no exception.
The song combines elements of disco with a carousel organ and a lead melody that’s pieced together from countless vocal slivers. This song is a motivator, funky and confident, not unlike the 0PN/A.G. Cook “Bubs” collab released last week. Both songs are below and are free to download.
