In anticipation of their forthcoming #000000 & #FFFFFF project (November 27), The Neighbourhood has shared their latest single, an emotive banger called “#icanteven” featuring French Montana.
The track is heavy, both in terms of production and content, with lead vocalist Jesse Rutherford telling The Fader, “I actually had a different vocal for it originally, but didn’t really like what I had. So I went back into the studio with them right after I found out my girlfriend cheated on me.” It’s a truly powerful cut, and French (who joins a list of recent The Neighbourhood hip-hop collaborators that includes Raury, Danny Brown and Casey Veggies) shines with his guest verse.
