Premiere: Azekel - "Chronophobia"

None

In the year and a half that we’ve known him, London singer/producer Azekel has been steadily progressing with each release, showing that his influences come from far and wide. His Circa EP, which had some bright pop moments, with the raw and funky “New Romance,” but his latest track is his best yet. “Chronophobia” (which means the fear of time), is a slow-burner, contrasting gritty, almost menacing bass with bright horns, jazzy percussion, and Azekel’s own commanding vocals.

It’s those vocals that stand out here, with the delivery certainly influenced by pop and R&B greats like Prince, but staying true to Azekel’s own sound. Check “Chronophobia” out below.
