In anticipation of his new album Stoicville, T-Pain has unveiled the project’s titular cut, an introspective, confessional track about his life’s ups and downs. Pain, who’s recently said Kanye West doesn’t use auto-tune correctly, opts to rap without pitch altering effects on this one and the results are candid and reflective. “Nobody thought I knew what I was doin’,” he raps on the track. “Nobody believed so nobody would walk me through it / But nobody achieved what I achieved / If only somebody could’ve just seen what I seen.”

According to Fader, T-Pain recorded more than 120 songs for Stoicville, and recently released his greatest hits collection, T-Pain Presents Happy Hour: The Greatest Hits… except he didn’t really know the project was coming out until he saw that he could pre-order it. Nevertheless, by the sounds of it, he’s got more hits to make. In the meantime, listen to “Stoicville” below.
