While I know it’s early, I wanted to shout out how thankful I am for the producers out there who consistently make me smile. I heard some shit the other day that, if it were a shotgun, would’ve blown a whole through the back of my head… but I would’ve died with a smile on my face. I’ve heard tunes that, if they were a twister, would’ve thrown me around my corny castle… and I would’ve been OK with that. I’ve also heard bits that, if gusts of wind, would’ve blown the roof off of my humble domicile… and I would’ve been pissed, because roof repair can be a mother. Thank you, EDMs, for giving me music that keeps me intrigued and astounded. I fucks with you.
Joker – “Midnight”
Joker’s next album The Mainframe isn’t due out until February of 2015, but if the rest of the album is as mesmerizing as the lead single “Midnight,” we’re going to be in for a stupendously purple treat.
Hudson Mohawke ft. Future, Pusha T, French Montana & Travi$ Scott – “Chimes (Remix)”
Sure, the instrumental was dope on its own, but how can you truly be mad at two fire Pusha T verses on a massive HudMo Track? Pure NYE turn up anthem, trust.
Baauer – “Tokyo Temple”
If you checked out Red Bull’s Searching For Sound documentary, you know this quick ditty. Baauer doing what he does best.
Mary J. Blige and Disclosure – “Follow”
Another gem from Mary’s forthcoming London Sessions album, where she truly immerses herself in the Disclosure vibe.
Dej Loaf – “Try Me (Nick Catchdubs Jersey Gardens Mix)”
I’ve been surprised by the lack of “Try Me” remixes out there, but as long as Catchdubs knows how to flip this in a Jersey club vein, I’m OK with that.
Skrillex – “Fuck That”
One of the more surprising cuts from Skrillex’s Recess album gets an equally surprising video courtesy of Nabil.

Alesso – “Heroes (We Could Be) (Branchez Remix)”
Alesso’s Tove Lo-featured “Heroes” has been a big single for the EDM set, and remixes have come from a number of dope producers… but Branchez slayed any other version we’ve heard. Hold bae close to this one.
Pomo’s “The Other Day” EP
Still kind of amazed that this is Pomo’s debut EP. Dude feels so accomplished… or maybe that’s just me playing the fuck out of his tunes for the last year. Dude has it, though; glistening funky bliss.
Craig Williams’ “It’s Not Enough” EP
Two intoxicating takes on the techno sound, released on NEST, the sister label of Skrillex’s OWSLA imprint.
denitia and sene – “side fx (Ellie Herring Remix)”
Kentucky’s Ellie Herring has a bright future ahead of her, trust we. Proper end credits style.
