The first part of Aphex Twin’s interview with Dave Noyze yielded some music by his six-year-old son, the origins of Syro, and a slew of unreleased recordings. Today we get the second half of the interview and, you guessed it, another load of new music from Aphex Twin (aka Richard James). These are, as always, new in the sense that they’ve been sitting quietly on a hard drive’s shelf, collecting digital dust. There’s no way of knowing just how large James’ library of works in progress and early demos is, but I don’t see him running out of material anytime soon.

This second interview dives deep into gear talk—James and interview Dave Noyze discuss the various merits of a “Publison DHM 89 pitch shifter [not reverb] with KB200” and “synton syntovox 221 vocoders.” James allows shares some pictures of his personal gadgetry, as well as a new batch of new music. The 20-track playlist below is a series of sonic experiments with a modular synth. You can find the rest of the new tracks on his SoundCloud.
