18. Ezra - "Please U"

A couple of weeks ago, we featured “Not Enough” by Ezra and Dunlop of the new mysterious label Therapy. 25. Vic Spencer - "Loop God"

Chicago's Vic Spencer keeps things moving with "Loop God." With this one, the atmospheric, disconnected production allows Vic's vocals to take the spotlight, and with a rapper as intense as him, that's for the best.

27. Jaden Smith - "Let It Breathe"

Jaden Smith isn't for everyone. For every fan who swears this kid is the savior, there's a non-fan who thinks he's fake-deep and the product of an overprivileged upbringing that allows him to focus on half-baked outside-the-box ideas.

Whatever you think of this young artist, it's hard to deny that he's developing into a compelling character, and watching his most recent moves has been interesting, no matter which side of the fence you're on. Here at P&P, we're starting to believe that Jaden Smith is the truth—or, at the very least, he's true to himself. And that's a lot more than you can say about a lot of young artists.

Listen to his new mixtape Cool Tape Vol. 2—including tape highlight "Let It Breathe" below—and after, be sure to read our review of the project here.
