With the artwork referencing N.W.A. and A$AP Bari (aka Young Lord, aka creative director and one of the founding members of the A$AP Mob) on the hook, the influence of the U.S. is clear on Skepta’s new track “It Ain’t Safe.” Skepta, who we most recently saw both producing the beat and directing the video for Wiley’s “On A Level,” switches his flow up from 2014 grime anthem “That’s Not Me,” going in with bars as gritty and menacing as the massive beat.
