With his new project Gay Dog Food due out near the end of the month, Mykki Blanco is back with a new song to grab your full attention. “Moshin In The Front” features him and Cities Aviv on a beat that sounds exactly as you would imagine anything with this title to sound.
For anyone who has lived to tell the tales of what it’s like to be in the center of a mosh pit, they can tell you firsthand just how aggressive that situation can get. Depending on the level of intensity of that particular crowd, seeing people exit the pit with bloody noses, bruises, torn shirts and sweaty hair is not all that surprising. And if you’re going to title your song “Moshin In The Front” the entire track better embody that experience. Mykki Blanco and Cities Aviv hit the nail right on the head. Their verses and vocal approach fit the abrasive attitude necessary for this beat and subject.
