James Blake is up to something. First he sneaks a new version of “200 Press” and an Outkast remix into his BBC mix, and now he’s announced this lightning-quick, five-stop tour of North America. The shows come close to touching all four corners of the U.S. in a ten day span. Here are the dates and venues:
11-30 Toronto, Ontario – Mod Club
12-01 Brooklyn, NY – Music Hall of Williamsburg
12-05 Miami, FL – Young Arts
12-07 San Francisco, CA – The Chapel
12-09 Los Angeles, CA – The Roxy
If these breadcrumbs Blake is tossing out mean anything, we might be treated to some new material during this mini-tour. The opening act will be Airhead (aka Rob McAndrews aka Blake’s guitarist on tour). He’s a part of Blake’s 1-800 Dinosaur label, and his sounds will tell you as much. Airhead also happens to be quite good—here’s his “Milkola Bottle”:
Tickets for NYC and Toronto go on sale Friday. Blake has given New Yorkers have the opportunity to visit the Music Hall of Williamsburg, widely regarded by pigeons everywhere as one of the best places to see live music in New York City.
