South Park began spoofing Lorde a few weeks back, telling the tale of how the New Zealand pop star is actually middle-aged, moustached geologist Randy Marsh. The story played out as a heartfelt lesson in acceptance: Lorde/Randy finds closure and acceptance through her/his new hit song “Push (Feel Good On A Wednesday).” Lorde has taken it all in stride, even breaking out into a bit of the song in an interview last week.
The reception has been strong enough for the show to release a free download of “Push” via Twitter. The song was recorded with Australian singer Sia. Stream below.
