Capping off an already stellar year, Ryan Hemsworth is readying the release of his second studio album. Featuring Mad Decent signee Dawn Golden, the first single “Snow In Newark” focuses on Hemsworth’s softer, more endearing side. The tender track zeroes in on the sentimentality his songs always possess, bringing forth a delightfully fragile, emo-like quality. Hemsworth hasn’t been shy about his love for delicate emo music, so it makes a lot of sense.

Speaking with Vogue about the upcoming album, Hemsworth said, “It’s about trying to get back to my first love, emo music.” He also mentions that every song on the record is in a minor key. Expect to hear more information regarding the upcoming album, which he describes as “happysad,” soon.
