Litany are Jake and Beth, two 20-year-olds from the north of England, who are making fragile, electronic pop music in the vein of SOHN, The Acid, and countless other up and coming artists. What separates this young duo from the pack on “Look” is their fearless use of empty space and little moments of silence that draw you further in to their world. Rather than bombarding listeners with walls of sound or pounding drums, Litany focus on the simple things—poignant lyrics, unobscured vocals—before finally letting their more widescreen ambitions free in the song’s final section.
