Pigeons & Planes Presents: Jungle in Brooklyn

None

They are great on record and even better live, so we’re happy to present British band Jungle’s show with Beaty Heart at Warsaw in Brooklyn on October 1.

The XL Recordings signed band have kept the quality high across all their songs and (especially) videos, ever since we were introduced to them via “Platoon.” Their self-titled debut album, released in July and now one of the nominees for the Mercury Prize Album of the Year award, is impressively varied, moving from the anthemic highs of tracks like “Time” to the more reflective “Lucky I Got What I Want.”

Now, it’s all well and good to master your sound on record, but it’s a different skill altogether to be an awesome live band. Luckily, we can tell you from experience that Jungle are excellent live, almost freakishly tight, and seeming genuinely happy to be able to share their funky, soulful, pop-leaning sounds.

If you’re in New York on October 1, make sure you get to Warsaw in Brooklyn and catch Jungle live. Tickets are on sale now. Buy here.
