With his debut album on the way, British vocalist Bipolar Sunshine recruits buzzing DMV rapper Goldlink for an excellent new single, “Future (Part 1).”
Backed by bouncy, atmospheric production from Jazz Purple, “Future (Part 1)” hinges on Bipolar Sunshine’s oft-repeated line: “My future looks brighter in your eyes,” which on its own gives the song a certain hopeful and romantic nature. Goldlink—who hasn’t slowed down since the release of The God Complex—comes through with an expectedly impressive guest verse as he slings sleek, storytelling bars over the pulsating instrumental.
