Australia’s up and coming singer/songwriter Vance Joy is one to keep an eye on. The musician has already quietly reached the top of the charts in the UK, gone triple platinum, and sold out every upcoming show on tour but one, yet his name—especially in the U.S.—is not very familiar. That may soon change.
Today—on the brink of releasing his debut album Dream Your Life Away—Joy has shared the video to a brand new track called “First Time.” The song is a wonderful dose of heartfelt indie-pop, as Joy—with help of esteemed producer Ryan Hadlock—lets loose his jazzy vocals over joyfully upbeat instrumentation. Watch and listen above, and look for “First Time” and the album to both be released this September.
