Female artists have been a hit or miss for me lately. Either I play their songs into the ground, or I can barely make it through the entire track without getting distracted by something else. Natalie McCool almost instantly falls into the former category. “Dig It Out” is a dreamy pop gem, featuring anthemic instrumentation and McCool’s quivering, cool vocals. Crafting a song as well-constructed as this shouldn’t come as a surprise, though, given the Liverpool songstress’ lengthy and impressive musical background. She graduated with honors from the prestigious Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, and last year was awarded Female Artist of the Year at the Liverpool Music Awards. “Dig It Out” will be released September 15 via Young & Lost Club, but you can get familiar with McCool’s captivating sound below.
