Gearing up for his second solo album, former Girls frontman Christopher Owens releases another single from A New Testament. Following “Stephen” and “It Comes Back to You,” Owens shares the upbeat “Never Wanna See That Look Again.”
Straying from the lonesome, downtempo vibes of the two aforementioned singles, Owens delivers a bouncy jam reminiscent of his days with Girls. Despite its contrast however, the song still holds the personal anecdotes seen in almost all of Owens’ writing—as he sings, “There’s a look in your eyes every time I say goodbye, and I never wanna see that look again.”
