Check Out Jack + Eliza, Two College Kids in New York City Working on Their Debut EP

None

Jack + Eliza are still in college, but the childhood friends who recently decided to make music together are already on the fast track. In 2011, at only 15 years old, Eliza was the youngest ever winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.  When she started making music with Jack, the two had a connection immediately, and now they’ve got two songs out, some solid attention, and a debut EP called No Wonders on the way. Production on that debut EP is being handled by Chris Zane, who has previously worked with The Walkmen, Mumford  & Sons, and Passion Pit.

Musically, Jack + Eliza have a songwriting style that recalls The Shins, but with a bright touch of surf pop breeze. The songs are melodically intricate but simple in every other way, and their boy-girl harmonizing has a youthful charm about it. When fall rolls around, this will be a great way to hang on to the summer spirit.

No Wonders comes out September 23.
