Joshua Idehen is one busy guy. He dropped the Benin City album last year and followed that up with the Midnight Malarky EP this past June, alongside which he’s been working on new music with producers LV (check out their upcoming album’s first single “Imminent,” it’s fire) and finding time to hit the Boiler Room for a wild session with them.
On top of that, he’s got a project with Andy Highmore, Izzy Brooks, and Tino Kolarides called Hugh, making electronic pop music with a clear R&B influence. We’ve already heard the EP’s softly alluring title track and now we’re happy to share the whole thing with you, four tracks of richly textured songs with subtly catchy hooks plus a free to download remix by Fever Trails.
We’re sure Idehen has lots more exciting projects in the works, but off the strength and variety of this EP, we’d love to see a full length from Hugh this year. The I Can’t Figure You Out EP is out July 21, check it out below.
