Kanye West’s longtime collaborator Common speaks up about splitting with West’s label, G.O.O.D. Music.

This makes a lot of sense considering that he hasn’t been involved with anything G.O.O.D. Music-related recently. His 2011 album The Dreamer/The Believer was released through Warner Bros. and his own label Think Common Music Inc.

Confirmed during his interview with Sway on MTV RapFix, Common explains that there’s no bad blood, insisting that ‘Ye is still “family.” The reason behind this switch, according to Common, is due to the fact that Kanye’s “focus was somewhere else.”
