The 2014 MTV Video Music Awards will take place on August 24 in LA, and although the nominees are generally the same old big-name suspects, the award show itself is always one of the most fun to watch. The nominees have been announced today, with Beyoncé leading the way with eight nominations, and Eminem and Iggy Azalea with seven each. Sia is, of course, nominated for her wonderful “Chandelier” video, while Kanye West, Arcade Fire, Gesaffelstein, Tyler, The Creator, Lana Del Rey, and Disclosure are up for awards.
