Elliott Smith continues to touch the lives of musicians and fans alike despite the fact that it’s been almost 11 years since his passing. Director Nickolas Rossi’s latest project, a new piece that documents the singer/songwriter’s life, gives further insight into Smith’s experiences and struggles.
Heaven Adores You, which took three years to piece together, debuted last month, and has been showing at U.S. film festivals. In anticipation of Washington’s AFI DOCS film festival, which occurs from June 18 to 22, the organizers of the festivals have shared the first four minutes of the documentary, which you can watch above.
