Consistently excellent British label Hyperdub, who might be best known for releasing all Burial’s music and were recently a major part in footwork’s explosion, releasing DJ Rashad’s Double Cup, are celebrating their ten year anniversary. Alongside some cool parties across the globe, Hyperdub are putting out two compilations, with 10.1 focussing on the label’s dancefloor-oriented output and 10.2 on the more vocal-based, R&B leaning releases.
One of the new songs on the 10.2 compilation is Jessy Lanza’s “You and Me,” which starts with rather coy vocals but builds to a big conclusion that anyone who enjoyed FKA twigs’ new song “Two Weeks” will surely also appreciate. Check it out below.
