Veteran musician and acclaimed electronic artist Dan Snaith is poised to make a triumphant return under his pseudonym Caribou. The 35-year-old, who in recent years has taken a break from Caribou to focus on his dance music side-project Daphni, rings in his comeback with the dreamy new track “Can’t Do Without You.” From start to finish, the song is an absolute winner, brilliantly pieced around the looped vocals “I can’t do without you.” As the song fervently builds, vocal inflections begin to change, percussion is added, and the song is dramatically altered by the inclusion of a number of oscillating synths—it’s an awesome piece of music.

The song will be on Caribou’s sixth album, Our Love. The record is slated to be released October 7 via Merge Records, and features contributions from both Owen Pallet and Jessy Lanza. Prepare yourself for the album below.
