Ahead of an official release on May 26 by Double Denim Records, UK electro-pop duo Hockeysmith is now streaming their debut EP, But Blood. The four song project, although familiar—with songs such as “Hesitation” and “Meanwhile“—serves as another significant milestone for the sister duo of Annabel and Georgia Hockeysmith (who may or may not be still living and recording in a caravan park).
The siblings are both talented, and very dynamic, seemingly cutting the corners of defined genre to blend experimental, shoegaze, house, and dream-pop elements into their compelling EP. From a song like the fiercely experimental “Phantom Limb,” to the powerful pop number “But Blood,” the piece of work is definitely something you’re going to want to check out.
